NATIVE LANDS COURT.

NOTICE OF TIMES AND PLACES FOR INVESTIGATING CLAIMS.

NOTICE is hereby given that the claims, on behalf of themselves and others, of the several persons whose names are mentioned in the first column of the Schedule here under written, to the several blocks of land, of which the names and localities are mentioned in the second column, the boundaries of which are published in the Schedule hereunder, will be investigated at Mangonui, on the 19th of October next, and following days.

SCHEDULE.

Name of Claimant. Name and Locality of Block. Boundaries of land as translated from the Claims. Place where Plan will be deposited for public inspection.
Pororua kauri, Hohepa Kiwa, Pone te Kanohi, and Karena Hohepa Whare-Mangataraire, near Mangonui. On the North is the boundary of Te Whakapaku, land belonging to the Government; Te Mangataraine Creek is on the West, and on the other sides Maori land.
Jeliu Ngawaka, Wharo Ngakuku, Rihi te Whenua, Tipene te Taha, Nopera te Puru, and Patorope Kukupa Ngawaka, Pakautarararu, near Mangonwi. On the North side is the Oruru River; on another side Mr. W. Butler’s land; Hikurangi is on another side; and Mr. F. Hunt’s land is on the other side. The maps of these lands may be seen in the Court-house of the Resident Magistrate, at Mangonui.
Tipene te Taha, Hohaia Rawhau, and Aperahama Moe. Otaharoa, near Oruro. Commencing at Otaharoa, it runs to Te Hangohango; it follows that stream and meets the boundary of the Ahitahi Block; it follows that boundary and reaches the Waikainga River; it follows the Pukutapu River to Tangitupeka; it comes out thence and goes up the road; when it comes to branch of the stream it goes to Te Reihi, and falls into Waikainga River; and follows that river and meets the boundary of Mr. William Nicholson’s land; it goes along that boundary and joins at Otaharoa.
