I HEREBY notify that the Chairman of the Board of Highway Trustees for the Newcastle District has reported in writing to the Superintendent the election of Mr. Andrew Barton, as a Highway Trustee for the said District, in the room of Mr. C. B. Stone, resigned.

I, the undersigned, David Philp, hereby make application to register “The Valentine Gold Mining Company (Registered)” under the provisions of The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865; and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every particular, namely:—

  1. That the name and style of the Company is “The Valentine Gold Mining Company (Registered).”
  2. That the place of operations is at the Shellback Creek, Karaka Block, at the Thames Goldfield, in the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.
  3. That the nominal capital of the Company is Six thousand four hundred Pounds, in Two thousand five hundred and sixty shares of Two Pounds ten shillings each.
  4. That the amount paid up is Five thousand one hundred and twenty Pounds.
  5. That the name of the Manager is David Philp.
  6. That the Office of the Company is in Campbell-street, Grahamstown.
  7. That the names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each, at this date, are as follow, namely:—
