PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 10th August, 1869.

THE following Resolution, adopted by the Provincial Council of Auckland, and transmitted to the Superintendent in an Address (No. 64, Session xxiv), is published for general information :—

“Resolved, That an Address be presented to His Honor the Superintendent, requesting him to offer rewards for the discovery of a payable Goldfield in the several hereinafter mentioned Electoral Districts, viz. :—Within the boundaries of the Electoral District of Mangonui, £1,000; Bay of Islands, £1,000; Marsden, £1,000; the Northern Division, £1,000; Raglan, £1,000; such parts of Franklin not already proclaimed a Goldfield, £1,000; other Districts of the Province not above specified, £1,000. The several rewards to be paid out of the general revenue of the Province, after sufficient proof has been adduced to the Government that any goldfield discovered had maintained a mining population of not less than 600 for a period of six months from the date on which the Government and this Council are officially advised of any gold discovery.”

In compliance with this Resolution, and subject to the conditions set forth therein, I hereby offer a Reward of One Thousand Pounds (£1,000) to such person or persons who shall discover a payable Goldfield in either or any of the aftermentioned localities, that is to say,

  1. Waitakerei District.
  2. Maraeatae and Wairoa Ranges.
  3. Any other locality in the Peninsula north of Auckland.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

TENDERS will be received at this Office until twelve o’clock noon on Monday, the 23rd instant, for the supply of Provisions for the Provincial Hospital during the period of four months commencing on the 1st of September, proximo.

Printed Forms of Tender are obtainable at this Office, where the particulars and conditions of the contract can be ascertained.
