I HEREBY notify that the Chairman of the First Meeting of the Electors of the ARARIMU NORTH HIGHWAY DISTRICT has, in accordance with the provisions of “The Highways Act, 1867,” reported in writing to the Superintendent the names of the undermentioned gentlemen elected Highway Trustees for the District :—

I THE undersigned, SAMUEL BROOKING, hereby make application to register “THE SOUTHERN CROSS GOLD MINING COMPANY (REGISTERED),” under the provisions of “The Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865;” and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my belief and knowledge, true in every respect, namely :—

  1. The name and style of the Company is “The Southern Cross Gold Mining Company (Registered).”

  2. The place of operations is at the Moanataiari Creek, Thames Goldfields.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Fifteen thousand seven hundred and fifty Pounds, in Three thousand one hundred and fifty shares of Five Pounds each.

  4. The amount already paid up is Twelve thousand six hundred Pounds.

  5. The name of the Manager is Samuel Brooking.

  6. The office of the Company is in Williamson-street, Grahamstown.
