afternoon, to appoint a Chairman, elect
a School Committee, and for the other
purposes set forth in the fourteenth section of
the said Act.

By virtue of the power in the Superintendent
vested by the fourteenth section of
“The Common Schools Act, 1869,” I do
hereby notify that that portion of the
Province of Auckland, comprising the
Highway District known by the name of
“The Newcastle Highway District,”
as constituted by notification in the Government
Gazette of the Province of Auckland,
No. 56, 5th November, 1868, page 499, shall
be an Educational District under the said Act,
to be called
THE NEWCASTLE EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.
And I do hereby appoint a Meeting of the
resident occupiers of land and householders to
take place at the Delta Hotel, Ngaruawahia,
on Friday, the sixth day of August, proximo,
at three o’clock in the afternoon; to
appoint a Chairman, elect a School Committee,
and for the other purposes set forth in
the fourteenth section of the said Act.

said Gazette No. 44, 26th September, 1867,
page 415, shall be an Educational District
under the said Act, to be called
THE ALEXANDRA EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT.
And I do hereby appoint a Meeting of the
resident occupiers of land and householders,
to take place at the Alexandra Hotel, Alexandra,
on Wednesday, the fourth day of August next,
at six o’clock in the evening, to appoint a Chairman,
elect a School Committee, and for the
other purposes set forth in the fourteenth
section of the said Act.

And I do hereby appoint a Meeting of the

take place at the Mission House, Te Awamutu,
on Tuesday, the third day of August
proximo, at two o’clock in the afternoon,
to appoint a Chairman, elect a School Committee,
and for the other purposes set forth in
the fourteenth section of the said Act.
