PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

WHEREAS by a notification published in the Auckland Provincial Government Gazette, dated the 24th of June, 1869, it was notified that it was intended to grant a Lease for gold mining purposes of Crown Lands situate at the north of the Alabama Creek, Thames Gold Field, to Thomas Hunter, on behalf of the Belfast Quartz Mining Company, upon his application, dated 3rd of May, 1869.

Now, therefore, I do hereby notify that the said applicant, Thomas Hunter, has withdrawn such application.

Given under my hand, at Wellington, this fourteenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.

to be Auditor of the Accounts of the Auckland City Board of Commissioners, in the place of Benjamin Maclean, Esq., who has resigned the office.
