PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By EVERETT MACLEAN, Esquire,
Deputy-Superintendent of the
Province of Auckland.

BY virtue of the power in the Superintendent vested by the fourteenth section of "The Common Schools Act, 1869," I do hereby notify that that portion of the Province of Auckland, comprised within the boundaries of the Highway District known by the name of "The Wairau District," as constituted by Notification in the Government Gazette of the Province of Auckland, No. 44, 26th September, 1867, page 408, shall be an Educational District under the said Act, to be called

THE WAIRAU EDUCATIONAL DISTRICT ;

and I do hereby appoint a Meeting of the resident occupiers of land and householders to take place at the usual place of Meeting of the Highway Trustees of the District, on Wednesday, the fourteenth day of July next, at seven o’clock in the afternoon, to appoint a Chairman, elect a School Committee, and for the other purposes set forth in the fourteenth Section of the said Act.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this eighteenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.

THE undersigned, WILLIAM ROWE, hereby make application to Register "THE HOKITIKA GOLD-MINING COMPANY (REGISTERED,)" under the provisions of the "The Mining Companies Limited Liability Act, 1865," and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is, to the best of my knowledge and belief, true in every particular, namely :-

  1. The name and style of the Company is "The Hokitika Gold-mining Company, Registered."

  2. The place of operations is at the Thames Gold Field, in the Province of Auckland.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Two thousand eight hundred and eighty Pounds, in four hundred and eighty shares of six Pounds each.

  4. The amount already paid up is Two thousand four hundred Pounds.

  5. The name of the Manager is William Rowe.

  6. The Office of the Company is in Pollen-street, in the Town of Shortland, in the Province of Auckland.

  7. The names and addresses of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date are as follows, namely :-

THE undersigned, ALBERT BEETHAM, hereby make application to Register "The BENDIGO INDEPENDENT GOLD MINING COMPANY (Registered)" under the provisions of the "Mining Companies’ Limited Liability Act, 1865," and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is to the best of my belief and knowledge true in every particular, namely :-

  1. The name of the Company is "The Bendigo Independent Gold Mining Company (Registered)."

  2. The place of operations is at Punga Flat, Thames Gold Fields.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Five thousand four hundred Pounds, in five hundred and forty shares of ten Pounds each.

  4. The amount already paid up is Four thousand eight hundred and sixty Pounds.

  5. The name of the Manager is Albert Beetham, Pollen-street, Shortland.

  6. The Office of the Company is at Beetham, Walker & Co.’s, Pollen-street, Shortland.

  7. The names and several residences of the Shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follows :-
