PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN pursuance of the powers in me vested by the third clause of "The Highways Act, 1867," I do hereby notify, for general information, that I have altered and amended both the name and the boundaries of the Ararimu District under the said Act, as hereunder set forth.

Given under my hand at Auckland this eighteenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.

The Ararimu District.

(Former boundaries defined in Gazette, No. 44, 26th September, 1867, folio 412,) to be:

The Ararimu North District.

Bounded towards the North by the Kaukapakapa River, towards the East by part of the Western boundary of the Weiti Highway District, again, towards the North by part of the Southern boundary of the Weiti Highway District, aforesaid; again towards the East by the Western boundaries of allotments numbers 77 and 78, of the Parish of Paremoremo, and part of the Eastern boundary of Allotment number 57 of said Parish; towards the South by the Southern boundary of Allotment number 57, aforesaid, to the Rangitopuni Creek; again, towards the East by the Rangitopuni Creek aforesaid, and by said Creek to the Waitati Stream, and on the South-West by the Waitati Stream, aforesaid, to the Easternmost angle of Allotment number 55, of the Parish of Paremoremo, thence by the Northern boundary of Allotment number 55, aforesaid, and by the said boundary produced in a straight line to the North-eastern angle of Allotment number 53, of the Parish of Paremoremo, aforesaid; thence following the North-eastern boundary of said Allotment number 53, to the Ararimu River; thence Northward by the Ararimu River aforesaid, to the South-Western boundary of Allotment number 41, of the Parish of Paremoremo aforesaid; thence by part of the South-Western boundary of said Allotment, number 41, to its Westernmost angle; thence in a straight line from said angle to the South-Western angle of Allotment number 60, of the Parish of Ararimu; thence by the Western boundaries of Allotments numbers 60, 59, and 58, of the Parish of Ararimu aforesaid, to the Southern boundary of Kaukapakapa South; thence by the Southern and South-Western boundaries of said block to the road which forms part of the Western boundaries of Allotments numbers 26 and 20, of the Parish of Ararimu aforesaid; thence by said road to the Southern boundary of Allotment number 21, and by said Southern boundary to the Kaukapakapa River, the point of commencement.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

BY virtue of the powers in me vested by the third clause of the "The Highway Act, 1867," I do hereby notify that all that portion of the Province of Auckland, comprised within the boundaries hereunder described, shall be and is hereby constituted a District for the purposes of the said Act, and that such District shall be known by the name thereto prefixed, that is to say

The Ararimu South District.

Bounded towards the North by the Kaukapakapa River, towards the North-east by the Southern boundary of allotment number 21 of the Parish of Ararimu, to the road which forms part of the Western boundaries of allotments numbers 20 and 26 of the said parish, thence by said road to the South-western boundaries of the Kaukapakapa Block, thence by the South-western and Southern boundaries of the said block to the Western boundary of Allotment number 58, thence by the Western boundary of said Lot 58 and the Western boundaries of allotments numbers 59 and 60, also of the Parish of Ararimu aforesaid to the South-western angle of the last-named lot, thence in a straight line from the South-western angle of said last-named Lot number 60 to the westernmost angle of Allotment number 41 of the Parish of Paremoremo, thence by part of the South-western boundary of said Allotment 41 to the Ararimu River, thence South-westerly by said River to the North-eastern angle of Allotment number 53 of the Parish of Paremoremo aforesaid, thence following the North-eastern boundary of said Allotment 53 to its North-eastern angle, thence in a straight line to the North-western angle of Allotment number 55 of said parish, thence following the Northern boundary of said Allotment number 55 to the Waitati Stream, thence by the Waitati Stream to the Rangitopuni Creek. Towards the East by the Rangitopuni Creek aforesaid and high water mark of Waitemata River, and towards the South-west and West by the Northern boundary of Allotment number 1 of the parish of Waipareira, the North-eastern boundary of the Muriwai Highway District and the Kaipara River to the point of commencement.
