PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 3rd May, 1869.

It is hereby notified for general information that the period commencing on the day previous to the Public Landing of the Duke of Edinburgh at Auckland, and terminating on the day after His Royal Highness’s departure from this Port (both days inclusive), will be observed upon the Thames Gold Field as a period during which all lawfully occupied Claims shall be deemed to be protected, within the meaning of the Gold Fields Regulations.

Hereby notify that the Chairman of an adjourned meeting of the electors of the Whareora District has, in accordance with the provisions of “The Highways Act, 1867,” reported to me in writing, the names of the undermentioned gentlemen elected Highway Trustees for that district:—

  • Trippett, Frederick Heale
  • Dent, Robert
  • Doughty, John George
  • Smith, Finlayson.

IN THE MATTER OF THE MINING COMPANIES LIMITED LIABILITY ACT, 1865.

The undersigned, Thomas George Green, hereby make application to register The Mount Alexander Quartz Gold Mining Company (Registered) under the provisions of the Mining Companies Limited Liability Act, 1863, and I do solemnly and sincerely declare that the following statement is to the best of my belief and knowledge true in every particular, namely—

  1. The name and style of the Company is “The Mount Alexander Quartz Gold Mining Company (Registered).”

  2. The place of intended operations is at the Karaka Hill, Thames Gold Fields, in the claims known and registered as “The Mount Alexander,” “The Pleasant View,” and “The Pleasant View, No. 1,” lately amalgamated.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is Three thousand pounds, in Three Thousand Shares of one pound each.

  4. The amount already paid up is Fifty pounds.

  5. The name in full of the Manager is Thomas George Green.

  6. The Office of the Company is at Willoughby-street, Shortland.

  7. The names and several residences of the shareholders, and the number of shares held by each at this date, are as follow:—
