DISTRICT COURT OF AUCKLAND.

THE following notification is re-published from the New Zealand Gazette, for general information.

WHEREAS by “The District Courts Act, 1858,” it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor, from time to time, by notification in the New Zealand Gazette, to fix the places within the district at which every District Court shall be held.

And whereas by warrant bearing date the twenty-second day of May, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-six, sittings of the District Court of Auckland were appointed to be held, and it is expedient to alter the place of sitting of the said Court:

Now therefore, I, Sir George Ferguson Bowen, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the said power and authority in me vested in this behalf, do hereby fix and appoint that, from and after the twenty-fourth day of March, 1868, the building lately used as the Supreme Court House, in Eden Street, in the City of Auckland, shall be the place at which the District Court of Auckland shall be held, and that the said District Court shall then cease to be held in the building in the City of Auckland, in which the said District Court is now held.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this fourteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND.

NORTHERN DISTRICT.

Victoria, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Queen, to William Weaver, of Auckland, in the Province of Auckland, Civil Engineer,

Agent for the Royal Insurance Company of Liverpool, Alexandria Kerr, Esquire, the Manager at Auckland, of the Joint Stock Company of Bank called the Union Bank of Australia.

WHEREAS an action is now pending in our Supreme Court of New Zealand, Northern District; Province of Auckland, between Phillip Lempriere, of Ngarnawahia, in the County of Waikato, and Province and Colony aforesaid, storekeeper, as plaintiff, and the Royal Insurance Company of Liverpool, in that part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland called England, as defendants; and in order that the plaintiff may proceed to the said action; We command you that you and each of you do retain and keep all and singular lands and other hereditaments, moneys, goods, and chattels, bills, bonds, and other property of whatsoever nature, in the custody or under the control of you or either of you, at the time of the service of this Writ, belonging to the above-named defendants, or to or in which such defendants shall at that time be legally or equitably entitled or otherwise beneficially interested; and whether solely or jointly with any other person or persons, and all debts of every kind then due by you or either of you to such defendants, although the same or any part thereof may be payable only at a future day.

Witness, His Honor Joseph Schoales Moore, Esquire, a Judge of our Supreme Court of New Zealand, (L.S.) at Auckland, this twenty-ninth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

This Writ was issued by Thomas Shailer Weston, of Shortland-street, in the City of Auckland, Solicitor for the plaintiff.
