PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of
Auckland.
WHEREAS, by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Bay of Islands Settlement Act, 1858," the Governor was empowered to set apart, on the western side of the Bay of Islands, an eligible site for Colonization, and to take for such Settlement certain land in the said Act specified, and it was further provided that such land should be disposed of for such prices, in such manner, for such purposes, upon such laws, and subject to such Regulations, as the Governor in Council should from time to time prescribe for that purpose ;
And whereas certain Regulations were accordingly made, on the 19th day of April, 1864, and the 11th day of January, 1866 ;
And whereas it was deemed expedient to make further Regulations in respect of the matter aforesaid, and His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, did, accordingly, by an Order in Council, made on the 22nd day of March, 1867, make other Regulations for the disposal of the said land ;
Now therefore, I, John Williamson, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, under and by virtue of the powers conferred upon me by the last-mentioned Regulations, do hereby notify for public information, that all those pieces or parcels of land, enumerated in the Schedule hereunder written, will be open for selection and sale at the Waste Lands Office, in the City of Auckland, within the Province aforesaid, on and after Monday, the 4th day of January, 1869.
Given under my hand at Auckland, this thirtieth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.
