PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Deputy Superintendent of the
Province of Auckland.
WHEREAS by the first section of "The Sick and Destitute Act, 1868," it is enacted that the Electoral Districts of the Province of Auckland shall be and are thereby constituted Districts for the purposes of the said Act, provided that the Superintendent, by and with the advice of his Executive Council, may from time to time subdivide such Districts in such manner as he shall think fit:
Now, therefore, I, Every Maclean, Deputy of the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland aforesaid, in pursuance of the powers and authority enabling me in that behalf, do hereby subdivide, into the thirty-four Sub-Districts hereafter described, the whole of the Electoral District of Franklin.
Bounded on the North by the Electoral District of Parnell, and by the sea, including the Islands of Waiheke, Ponui, and other isles in the Firth of the Thames; on the east by the sea from Cape Colville to the 39th parallel of South Latitude; on the west by the Great South Road from the junction of Kyber Pass Road to Mauangatwhiri on the Waikato River, thence by the Waikato River to Lake Taupo, and thence by a line due south to the 39th parallel aforesaid; and on the south by the 39th parallel of South Latitude: excepting all such lands as are contained within the boundaries of the Electoral District of the Pensioner Settlements.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, this twenty-seventh day of July, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

Sub-District No. 1.
Bounded on the north by Hobson's Bay and the Orakei creek; on the east and south-east by the western boundary of the Tamaki West Highway District and the north-western boundary of the Mount Wellington Highway District; on the south-west by the Great South Road; on the west by the Epsom Road; and on the north-west by parts of the southern and eastern boundaries of the Parnell Electoral District.
Sub-District No. 2.
Shall comprise all the lands included within the boundaries of the Tamaki West Highway District.
Sub-District No. 3.
Bounded on the north by the southern boundaries of the Remuera and Tamaki West Highway District; on the east by the Tamaki river to the Tamaki bridge; and on
