PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 3rd August, 1868.
I HEREBY notify, for general information, that a Writ, issued by me on the eighth day of July, 1868, for the election of a Member of the Provincial Council, for the Electoral District of the Northern Division, has been returned with an endorsement thereon as follows :-
“I, Henry Colin Balneavis, the Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the Northern Division, do hereby declare that, in pursuance of the Writ to me directed, bearing date the eighth day of July, 1868, the undermentioned Candidate is duly elected a Member of the Provincial Council for the said District.
“Dated this third day of August, 1868.
