PROCLAMATION.

By John Williamson, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS, by an Act made and passed in the Parliament holden in the fifteenth and sixteenth years of the reign of Her present Majesty, intituled "An Act to grant a Representative Constitution to the Colony of New Zealand," it is amongst other things enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent, by proclamation in the Government Gazette, to fix such place or places within the limits of the Province, and such times for holding the first and every other session of the Provincial Council, as he may think fit:—

Now therefore, pursuant to the authority in me vested in that behalf, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, do hereby proclaim and declare, that the twenty-third session of the Provincial Council shall be holden at Auckland, and shall commence at three o’clock p.m. on Monday, the fifteenth day of June, 1868; and the Members of the said Council are hereby warned to give their attendance at the said time and place accordingly.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this twenty-sixth day of May, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

HALF-YEARLY SUPPLIES.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 23rd May, 1868.

TENDERS will be received at this Office, until noon of Saturday, the twentieth day of June proximo, for the undermentioned Services and Supplies, for the Provincial Government, during the six months commencing 1st July next.

Full particulars, as to the nature and conditions of the several Contracts, can be obtained at this Office, together with Forms of Tender.

Tenders for separate Services must be written on separate Forms; and each Tender must be enclosed in an envelope, endorsed "Tender for (number and name of Service)."

Samples of the various articles should accompany each Tender.

  2. Stationery, and Miscellaneous Articles.
  3. Coals.
  4. Firewood.
  5. Provisions for Hospital.
  6. Provisions for Lunatic Asylum.
  7. Prison and Police Supplies.
  8. Rations for Mount Eden Gaol.
  9. Rations for Lock-up.
  10. Rations for Sick and Destitute Persons,
    (1) at Auckland, (2) at Onehunga.
  11. Bread for Hospital (separate).
  12. Flour for Lunatic Asylum (separate), at per ton.
