PUBLIC MEETING.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 31st March, 1868.

In compliance with the foregoing Address from the "City Board of Commissioners," and in accordance with the desire of the Inhabitants of this Province, I hereby convene a PUBLIC MEETING, to be held at the Brunswick Hall, at 2 o’clock, p.m., on FRIDAY next, the third day of April, for the purpose of affording to the Inhabitants an opportunity to express their abhorrence at the recent attempt made on the life of His Royal Highness Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh, and to express their unfeigned sympathy with His Royal Highness.
