PUBLIC RECEPTION OF HIS EXCELLENCY SIR GEORGE F. BOWEN, G.C.M.G.


Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 20th March, 1868.

THE Superintendent, at the request of the “Governor’s Reception Committee,” invites the Inhabitants of Auckland to observe the day on which His Excellency Sir George F. Bowen lands as a PUBLIC HOLIDAY.

The public landing of His Excellency is expected to take place on Monday next, the 23rd instant.

The “Union Jack” will be hoisted at the Provincial Government Offices, Princes-street, on the day appointed for the landing, and the hour at which the landing will take place will be publicly notified.
