The above list is exclusive of visits paid by the friends and acquaintances of the patients.
Various improvements have been effected during the year. Separate latrines have been provided for the sexes. An enclosed yard has been formed, and a number of patients have been removed from the hospital to the old lunatic asylum, vacated on April 8th, when the insane were transferred to the new building at the Whau.
The Report of the Lunatic Asylum has been drawn up by Dr. Fisher, the resident medical superintendent, and is herewith enclosed.
