The following Statement showing the description of lights that will be exhibited at the entrance of the Bombay Harbour on the 1st June, 1867, is published for general information:—

Miles seen in clear weather. Time Harbour Light is shown. Color or any peculiarity of Light House. Height in feet. Centre of Lantern above High Water. Height in feet of Building from Base to Vane. Year Lighted. Character and order of Illuminating Apparatus. Remarks.
Floating Inner Light. Outer Floating Light (Colaba or Bombay). Kundary or Kenery. 18° 58' 32" N. 72° 48' 50" E. One. Fixed. …… 25 Sunset to Sunrise. An octagonal tower rising from centre of flat roofed two storied arched building. 161 75 1st June, 1867. Bright 1st class. Will be seen all round the horizon to seaward.
Fairway into Bombay Harbour. Colaba Point. Colaba Point. 18° 50' N. 72° 45' 50" E. One. Revolving. 2 Minutes. 17 to 18 Sunset to Sunrise. A white tower at on south end of Colaba Point. 119 93 1st June, 1867. Catoptric, 2nd class bright. Ditto.
As at present As at present As at present 10 miles. About 10 miles. One. Fixed. …… Sunset to Sunrise. Red with ball at Mast-head. As present As present 1st June, 1867. Red catoptric. A blue light is burnt every hour and a torch at the half hours during the night; a red ball is shown during the day from the mast-head and on a sail being signalled—a red flag is hoisted.
Bears from outer light N.E. ¼ N. distant 4¼ miles; has a red ball at her mast-head & hoists a red flag on a ship being signalled.
