I HEREBY notify that the Chairman of the Annual Meeting of the Electors of the District of Mount Albert has, in accordance with the provisions of the “Highways Act, 1862,” presented to me, in writing, the names of the undermentioned gentlemen, elected Highway Trustees for the District:—

  • BUCHANAN, J.
  • CLARK, J. F.
  • McENNANY, John
  • TAYLOR, A. K.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

The undermentioned Tenders have been received, and are published for general information.

Tender accepted (the only one received).

  • Jeremiah Casey,
    For a Steam Ferry Service from Auckland to Riverhead and back, daily (Sundays excepted), for one year. Subsidy, £150.

Tender accepted (the only one received).

  • Holmes Brothers,
    For a Steam Ferry Service between Auckland and Stokes’ Point, and O’Neill’s Point, three times a day for one year. Subsidy, £200. Provision to be made for carrying Stock.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By Frederick Whitaker, Esq.,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in Pursuance of the powers vested in me in that behalf by the “Impounding Act, 1856,” of the Local Legislature of the Province of Auckland, I hereby appoint those premises situate at the West Hamilton, Town Section No. 88, to be and be used as a Public Pound for the purposes of the said Act.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this fourteenth day of January, in the year of one Lord, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.
