shall give authority to the Commissioner to grant to such person land script to the extent of one-half of the value of the work performed, such value to be fixed by some competent person to be appointed by the Superintendent in that behalf.
- The Commissioner shall grant land scrip accordingly and such land scrip shall be available as cash at any time within three months for the purchase according to the provisions of this Act of any town, suburban or general country land which may be open for sale.

I HEREBY NOTIFY that I have appointed
Wm. Swanson, Esq., M.P.C.,
James Naughton, Esq., J.P., Commissioner of Police, and
Robert Baillie Lusk, Esq., J.P.,
to be Commissioners to enquire into the best means that can be taken for the future administration of funds set apart by the Provincial Council for the Relief of Destitute Persons in this Province, as well as for providing employment for such persons.
Any information or suggestions that may be likely to prove of service to the Commissioners in the consideration of this matter, may be communicated to Mr. Lusk, at the Provincial Treasury Office.

In the matter of the Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862; the Debtors and Creditors Act Amendment Act, 1865; and the Debtors and Creditors Acts Amendment Act, 1866, and in the matter of the petition of DANIEL GOUGH, the younger, of the City of Auckland, in the Province of Auckland, and Colony of New Zealand, Plasterer, a Debtor.
Upon Saturday, the twenty-seventh day of April, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.
UPON reading the Petition of the above-named DANIEL GOUGH, the younger, and his affidavit to the petition annexed, and upon hearing Mr. WESTON as of Counsel for the said Daniel Gough the younger, the Court doth order that the petition of the said Daniel Gough the younger be heard on WEDNESDAY, the third day of July next, at Eleven of the clock in the forenoon, at the Supreme Court House, in Eden-street, Auckland, and the Court doth further order that the Estate of the said Daniel Gough the younger be sequestrated into the hands of CHARLES TOTHILL, of said City of Auckland, Accountant, and held by him until the further order of this honourable Court; and the Court doth declare this order to be a vesting order.
