GOLD DISCOVERY.
FIVE THOUSAND POUNDS REWARD.

Auckland, April 24, 1867.
I HEREBY NOTIFY for general information that the Provincial Council of Auckland have determined that a reward of £5000 shall be given to any person or persons who can satisfactorily prove that they have discovered a payable Gold Field in the Province of Auckland.

WHEREAS at the last Annual Meeting of the electors of the Papakura Valley Highway District, held in the month of January, 1867, the said electors failed to make any valid election of Highway Trustees for the said district for the current year, and no sufficient reason for such omission has been communicated to me:
Now therefore I, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, by virtue of the powers in me vested by “The Highways Act, 1867,” do hereby appoint
