Short Title.
- The Short Title of this Act shall be “The Road Act No. 2 1865.”
Roads to be stopped.
- From and after the passing of this Act the Roads or parts of Roads mentioned in Schedule A to this Act annexed shall be stopped.
Governor may grant stopped roads.
- It shall be lawful for the Governor in name and on behalf of Her Majesty to grant to the several persons mentioned in Schedule A to this Act annexed the several lands set forth in said Schedule adjoining the lands belonging to such persons respectively.
New roads to vest in Her Majesty.
- From and after the passing of this Act the fee simple of the Lands mentioned in Schedule B to this Act annexed shall vest in Her Majesty and the said lands shall thereafter be used as and be public highways.
SCHEDULE A.
OLD LINES of ROADS to be Closed up and Crown Grants issued therefor.
No. 1.—Site of old road, 100 links wide traversing land, the property of Mr. A. Sinclair, known as allotment No. 38, Parish of Opaheke, County of Eden, and colored yellow, and represented on a plan deposited for reference in the Waste Lands Office, on plan, No. 1,005.
No. 2.—Site of old road, 100 links wide, traversing land, the properties of Alex. Farmer and John Piper Richardson, and known as allotments Nos. 14, 16, and 51, in the Parish of Wangarei, County of Marsden, and colored yellow on plan, No. 1,006.
No. 3.—Site of old road, 100 links wide, traversing land, known as Hospital Reserve, and being situate in Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland, in the Parish of Waitemata, County of Eden, and colored yellow on plan, No. 1,007.
No. 4.—Site of old road, 100 links wide, traversing lands, the property of A. K. Taylor, and known as allotments Nos. 38, 39, and 40, in the Parish of Titirangi, County of Eden, and colored yellow on the plan, No. 1,008.
No. 6.—Site of old road, 100 links wide, traversing lands, the properties of the Rev. James Francis Mandeno, John Howe Mandeno, J. J. Wilson, James Francis Mandeno, and William Morrin, and known as Allotments Nos. 23, 24, 25, 72, and 73, in the Parish of Mangatawhiri, County of Eden, and colored pink on plan, No. 1,010.
SCHEDULE B.
NEW LINES of ROAD to be Opened up.
No. 1.—Site of New Road, 100 links wide, traversing the property of A. Sinclair, and known as allotment No. 38, in the Parish of Opaheke, in the County of Eden, and colored red on plan, No. 1,005.
