PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By His Honor FREDERICK WHITAKER,
Esq., Superintendent of the Province
of Auckland.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in me in that behalf by “The Impounding Act, 1856,” of the Local Legislation of the Province of Auckland, I, Fred. Whitaker, Esq., Superintendent of the said Province, do hereby estimate and assess the following rates for the ordinary damages which, under the provisions of the said Act, may be demanded and recovered, in a summary way, by the person in possession of any lands enclosed with such proper fence as therein described, and situate within ten miles of any public pound, without proof of special damages, for the trespass of any cattle thereon, that is to say:

I HEREBY notify that the Chairman of the Annual Meeting of the Electors of the “Upper Mahurangi District,” has, in accordance with the provisions of the “Highways Act, 1862,” presented to me in writing, the names of the undermentioned gentlemen elected Highway Trustees for that District.

TENDERS FOR FERRY SERVICE AT PORT WAIKATO.
Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, January 8, 1866.
TENDERS will be received at this office until noon of Saturday, the 27th inst., for the performance of the Ferry Service at Port Waikato, from 1st February till 31st December, 1866.
A specification of the conditions of the service may be seen on application at this office, or at the residence of the Harbourmaster, Port Waikato.
Tenders to be endorsed, “Tender for Port Waikato Ferry Service.”
