PROCLAMATION.

By Robert Graham, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

In virtue of the powers vested in me in that behalf, I, Robert Graham, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, do hereby make the following regulation, and do hereby proclaim and declare. That from and after the first day of March, 1865, no cattle arriving in the Port of Auckland by sea, whether from places beyond or within the limits of the Colony, and for which a clean certificate shall have been issued in terms of the "Diseased Cattle Act, 1861," shall be landed at any point on the Southern Shore of the Port or Harbour of Auckland, or on the Western Shore of the Tamaki River, except upon the Landing Place near the western head of the Tamaki River, between the spot known as the Ahu, or the Pinnacle, on the Tamaki River, and following the high-water mark northward and westward to the point known as Wakama Point, on the Waitemata Harbour, under a penalty of £50 for each head of cattle so landed. But nothing herein contained shall prevent the landing of cattle with a clean certificate at any point on the North Shore or to the eastward of the Tamaki River. The regulation on this subject, dated 28th January, 1865, is hereby revoked.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By Robert Graham, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

Pursuant to the powers vested in me by the second clause of the Highways Act, 1862, I do hereby declare that the lands comprised within the several boundaries hereunder described shall be a District under the said Act, and that such District shall be known by the name thereto prefixed, that is to say,—

The District of Otahuhu.

All those lands which lie between the Southern boundary of Mount Wellington District and the Otahuhu creek on the North, the Tamaki River on the South East, the eastern boundary of the Mangarei District on the South West, and the Manukau Harbour on the West, including all roads traversing the lands within the before mentioned boundaries.

Given under my hand at Auckland, this Seventeenth day of February, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.
