PROCLAMATION.
By ROBERT GRAHAM, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
WHEREAS, by the “Superintendent’s Deputy Act, 1856,” it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent of any Province, by Proclamation to be published in the Government Gazette of such Province, to appoint such person as he may think fit, being a registered elector of such Province, to be his Deputy, and as such to perform and exercise all the acts and powers (except such acts and powers as are conferred by the Constitution Act, 15 and 16 Vict., c. 72.) which may be exercised and performed by the Superintendent, or such of them only as shall be specified in such Proclamation.
Now, therefore, I, ROBERT GRAHAM, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, do hereby appoint SAMUEL JACKSON, Esquire, to be my Deputy in the said Province, and to perform and exercise all the acts and powers that may be exercised by me, except such powers as are conferred by the Constitution Act, 15 and 16 Vict., c. 72.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, this twenty-first day of July, in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty-five.
