PROCLAMATION.

ALTERING GOLD FIELDS REGULATIONS.

Reference to the Gold Fields at Coromandel or elsewhere within the Province of Auckland.

Given under my hand at Auckland this thirtieth day of May, A.D. 1865.

In virtue of the powers in me vested, I, Robert Graham, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, do hereby make and publish the following Rules and Regulations for the management of the Gold Fields in the Province of Auckland. And I declare that the same shall come into operation from the day of the date hereof. And I hereby repeal the whole regulations heretofore in force in reference to the Gold Fields, or any portion of it,

RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE GOLD FIELDS IN THE PROVINCE OF AUCKLAND.

INTERPRETATION.

WHEREVER the term “Commissioner” is used in these regulations it shall be understood to mean the Commissioner, Warden, or Resident Magistrate, or any other officer entrusted with the superintendence of the Gold Field, or any portion of it.
