Lieut.-General Knollys has been directed by the Prince of Wales to acknowledge the receipt of an address of congratulation from the settlers of the Province of Auckland, New Zealand, on the occasion of His Royal Highness’s marriage, and to thank them sincerely for the good wishes and kind sentiments which they have expressed.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By Robert Graham, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

Under and in pursuance of the 14th Clause of the “Auckland Waste Land Act, 1858,” I hereby notify that I have set apart ten allotments in Albert Town as Sites for Places of Worship, and I hereby invite the Representatives of the several religious bodies recognised as having Officiating Ministers within the provisions of the “Marriage Act,” who may be resident within the Province of Auckland, and who may wish to obtain Sites for Places of Worship, to make to the Waste Land Commissioner, on or before Thursday, the third day of March next, written application for one of the said allotments.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this ninth day of February, in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty-four.

HEREBY NOTIFY that in accordance with the powers vested in me as the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, by virtue of the “Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1858,” the several Allotments of land mentioned and set forth in the Schedule hereunder written are hereby reserved by me.
