I HEREBY notify that I have appointed
MR. GEORGE GOULD WALTERS,
to be Sub-Inspector of Thistles in the Drury
and Waiuku district, with power to serve
notices, and to enter upon all lands therein,
in accordance with the 4th and 9th clauses of
“The Thistle Act, 1858.”

SINKING FUND LOANS.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 18th Jan., 1864.

TO be lent on mortgage, for such periods as
may be agreed upon, all or either of the
following sums, viz. :

£545 of Harbour Trust Sinking Fund ;
£620 of City Trust Sinking Fund ;
£1,000 of Auckland Loan Sinking Fund.

Tenders, specifying the rate of interest, the
nature and particulars of the security proposed to be given, and the length of time for
which the loans will be taken, will be received at this office until noon of Saturday,
the 30th January, instant.

Tenders to be endorsed,—“Tenders for Loan.”

ASSISTED IMMIGRATION.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 19th Jan., 1864.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Provincial
Government is making arrangements
for the introduction of a large number of immigrants into this Province from Great Britain
and Ireland, by making advances for passage
money, and invites colonists, who are desirous
of having their friends brought to this Province, to forward their names and address in full
to the Immigration Department of this Office,
in order that the Government Agent in England
may communicate with the proposed emigrants.
