THE following notification, published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 2nd July, instant, is re-published for general information :

IT is hereby notified that the Native Title has been extinguished over the Block of Land whereof the boundaries are mentioned or described in the schedule hereunto annexed.

SCHEDULE.
DISTRICT OF KAIPARA.
Maveretu Block, containing 27,500 Acres.
Boundaries commencing at Manganui River and following the survey line of Mr. Charles Knight by the boundary of Waikiekie Block to Ruarangi, thence by the boundary of Ruarangi to Waipu, thence by Waipu to Piroa, thence by Piroa to Maungaturoto, thence by Maungaturoto to Paparoa, thence by Paparoa to Matakohe, and by Matakohe to Manganui River, the point of commencement.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 20th July, 1864.
WHEREAS by a Public notification by the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, dated 16th May 1856, the town of Auckland for the purposes of the Impounding Act 1856, was defined as therein set forth, and whereas it is expedient to extend the limits of the town for the purposes of the said Act, now therefore I, the Superintendent of the said Province, do hereby, under and in pursuance of the power vested in me in this behalf by the said Act, notify and declare that the town of Auckland in the said Province as hereinafter defined shall from the 1st day of the month of September, 1864, come within the operation of the provisions of the said Act, and that the limits thereof for such purposes shall be the following until altered or varied.

BOUNDARIES FOR NEW IMPOUNDING ACT.
Commencing at the South side of Drake Street in Freeman’s Bay at its junction with the West side of Franklin Street, thence along the North side of Drake Street and the high-water line to the North side of Custom House Street, thence along the North side of Custom House Street to Point Britomart, thence along the high-water line round Point Britomart, Official Bay, Mechanic’s Bay, St. George’s Bay, Judge’s Bay to Point Resolution on the North :—Thence along the line of high-water mark in Hobson’s Bay to the mouth of the creek running from Hobson’s Bridge on the East :—Thence along the said creek to the Eastern side of the Epsom Road to the Kyber Pass Road, thence crossing the Epsom Road along the Southern side of the Kyber Pass Road to Symonds Street, thence crossing Symonds Street along the Western side of Symonds Street, to the Karangahape Road, thence along the Southern side of the Karangahape Road to the Ponsonby Road, thence along the Southern side of the Ponsonby Road to the West side of Franklin Street on the South :—And thence along the West side of Franklin Street to the point of departure in Freeman’s Bay on the West.
