The following Advertisements are published for general information.

TO ARCHITECTS.

DESIGNS FOR PUBLIC BUILDINGS

FOR THE

GOVERNMENT OF NEW ZEALAND.

Auckland, March 30, 1864.

THE COMMISSIONERS for the ERECTION OF PUBLIC BUILDINGS invite Architects in this and the adjacent Colonies to submit to them DESIGNS AND ESTIMATES for the erection of the FOLLOWING PUBLIC BUILDINGS AT AUCKLAND, VIZ.:—

  1. GOVERNMENT HOUSE in the Domain

  2. A SUPREME COURT HOUSE and Offices

  3. A POST OFFICE and CUSTOM HOUSE (combined), fronting the Harbour

A Premium of £200 will be given for the best design of each of these three buildings, and

A Second Premium of £100 for the second best design.

Plans of the several sites and views and information respecting the amounts available for each building, the accommodation required, and the mode of preparing the Designs, &c., are detailed in the “Instructions to the Architects,” which may be obtained from the Secretary to the Commissioners at Auckland, and at the several Australian Colonies and Tasmania from the Colonial Secretaries thereof.

The Designs and Estimates (under motto) are to be transmitted to the Secretary of the Commissioners, at Auckland, on or before the 27th day of June, 1864.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By Robert Graham, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

NOTICE is hereby given that all persons claiming a right to vote at the election of a Board of Trustees for the District of Waitakerei East, under the “Highways Act, 1862,” are to send in their claims to Francis White, Esquire, Auckland, on or before the 21st day of June next, and that such claims must be in the form following:—

Form of Claim.

I, the undersigned (the person appointed by the Superintendent to receive claims), do hereby certify that I claim to have my name enrolled as a voter for the election of Trustees for the District of Waitakerei East, as Landowner, Lessee, or Mortgagee, in possession, and that the particulars of my place of abode and qualification are as follows:—

Number of Allotments Section and Name of Occupying Tenant Number of Acres Nature of Qualification Situation of Property

Landsholder for freehold, or mortgage in possession, as the case may be.

EXTENSION OF TIME.

Auckland, 28th April, 1864.

THE COMMISSIONERS for the ERECTION OF PUBLIC BUILDINGS desire to inform Architects that THEY HAVE EXTENDED THE TIME FOR RECEIVING THE DESIGNS for the Public Buildings (specified in their Advertisement of March 30th last), to the 27th day of July next, 1864.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

To Francis White, Esquire:

I hereby give notice that I claim to have my name enrolled as a voter for the election of Trustees of the Highway District of Waitakerei East under the “Highways Act, 1862,” and that the particulars of my qualification are as follows:—

Christian Name and Surname of Claimant Place of Abode Nature of Qualification Description and Situation of Property Date

Landsholder for freehold, leasehold, or mortgage in possession, as the case may be.
