PROCLAMATION.
By Robert Graham, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by virtue of the power vested in the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland in pursuance of the "Diseased Cattle Act, 1861," a certain District of land in Australia known as Gipps’ Land was, amongst other Districts, declared to be an infected District within the meaning of the said Act, and no cattle are allowed to be imported from the said District into the Province of Auckland until further notice:
And whereas it is expedient to remove the restriction on the importation of cattle from the said District of Gipps’ Land; Now, therefore, I, the said Robert Graham, by virtue of such powers in me vested, do hereby notify and declare that from the date hereof, and until further notice, it shall be lawful for all persons to import cattle into the Province of Auckland from the said District of Gipps’ Land.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, this sixth day of April in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty-four.

I HEREBY notify for general information that, pursuant to the authority vested in the Superintendent by the "Provincial Government Act," Session I, No. 7, I have appointed

Mr. Robert Turnbull has been duly elected a Member of the City Board, for East Ward No. 2, in the room of Mr. Thomas McFarlane, resigned; and
Mr. David Sheehan for West Ward No. 3, in the room of Mr. Herbert Ashton, resigned, according to the provisions of the City Board Act.
