NOTICE is hereby given that the Creditors of the above-named Debtors are, on or before the twenty-ninth day of October instant, to come in and prove their debts at the Court House, Queen-street, Auckland, or, in default thereof, they will be peremptorily excluded from all benefit arising from the said Estates; and notice is further given that a sitting of the Court will be held at the Court House aforesaid, on Tuesday, the twenty-fourth day of November next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, for the final hearing and discharge of the above-named Debtors, and for the despatch of all business accruing under the provisions of the said Act.

AUCKLAND AND DRURY RAILWAY.

NOTICE is hereby given that application is intended to be made by the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland to the General Assembly, at the ensuing session thereof, for leave to bring in a Bill to enable the said Superintendent and his successors to make and maintain a Railway, with the buildings, approaches, stations, and works connected therewith, commencing on the sea beach, at or near the easterly end of Customs Street, in the City of Auckland, and passing from, in, through, or into, the several townships, places, or other territorial divisions following, that is to say, Auckland, Waitemata, Parnell, Epsom, Newmarket, Remuera, Manurewa, Otahuhu, Opaheke, Papakura, and Drury, and terminating in an allotment in the occupation of George Graham, at or near the North-eastern corner of the town of Drury, as laid down on the official plan thereof, all in the said Province of Auckland; and a Branch Railway leaving the said proposed Railway at the Eastern angle of Ligar’s Lot No. 1, section No. 17, suburbs of Auckland, and passing in, through, or into the several townships, places, or other territorial divisions following, that is to say, said section No. 17, suburbs of Auckland, suburbs of Onehunga, village of Onehunga, and terminating at the Wharf at Gedde’s Basin, in said village of Onehunga, as laid down on the official plan thereof, all in the said Province of Auckland. And by the said Bill it is proposed to constitute the said Superintendent and his successors a corporation for the purposes of the said Bill and undertaking, with power to hold land and hereditaments in perpetuity, and to sue and be sued. And it is intended to apply for powers to enable the said Superintendent for the purposes of the said undertaking to take and purchase lands and houses compulsorily, and to levy tolls, rates, and duties, and to confer, vary, and extinguish exemptions from payment of tolls, rates, and duties, and to confer, vary, and extinguish other rights and privileges, and to make bye-laws, and to empower the said Superintendent to transfer the said undertaking with all the rights, and powers, and liabilities, proposed to be conferred by the said Bill, or arising thereunder, to such commissioners, trustees, or other managing body, and at such time, and in such manner as may be appointed by Act of the Legislature of the said Province. And notice is hereby given that copies of the said Bill will be deposited in the Private Bill Office within fourteen days from the commencement of the said Session, and copies of the plans, sections, and books of reference, and of this notice will be deposited for public inspection at the office of the Registrar of Deeds, in Auckland aforesaid, as soon as they can be prepared, and at the office of the Colonial Secretary on or before the commencement of the said Session, and in the Private Bill Office, on or before the commencement of the said Session.
