PROCLAMATION.
By ROBERT GRAHAM, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
WHEREAS by the “Thistle Act, 1858,” it was amongst other things, enacted that it should be lawful for the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, from time to time, by Proclamation in the Provincial Government Gazette, to declare that the said Act should come into operation within any District, and thereby to proclaim the limits of the District.
Now, therefore in pursuance of the powers and authority in me vested, I, the said Superintendent, do hereby proclaim and declare that the said “Thistle Act, 1858,” shall, on and after the first day of October, next, come into operation within the Wangarei District, and the limits of the said District shall be all that portion of the said Province comprised within the Pataua River, North of Wangarei, and the Northern boundary of the Parish of Waipu, including the Waikare and Whanui Blocks, the Parish of Manaia, Kaiwha, Owhiwa, Wariara, Parahaki, Wangarei, Hikurangi, Ruatangata, Maungatapere, Maungakaramea, Ruarangi, Mangapai, and Ruakaka including adjacent islands in the Harbours of Wangarei and Pataua.
Given under my hand, at Auckland, in the said Province the twenty-eighth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.

I DO HEREBY appoint
MR. WILLIAM WILLING
to be Sub-Inspector of Thistles in the Wangarei District, with power to serve notices and enter upon all lands therein, in accordance with the 4th and 9th clauses of “The Thistle Act, 1858.”

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
By ROBERT GRAHAM, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in me in that behalf by “The Sheep Act, 1863,” I, the Superintendent of the said Province, do hereby appoint and constitute all that portion of the said Province which comprises the Northern half of the County of Marsden, from the Portage Road between the Mangawai River and the Kaiwaka River, to its Northern boundary, to be a district for the purposes of the said Act, under the name of the “Wangarei Sheep District.”
Given under my hand, at Auckland, the twenty-eighth day of September, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.
