PROCLAMATION.

By ROBERT GRAHAM, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act made and passed in the twenty-first year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled the "Auckland Waste Land Act, 1858," it is, among other things, enacted that it should be lawful for the Superintendent by Proclamation, to declare that a certain block of land therein described, should be set apart and reserved for certain Immigrants, expected to arrive from the United Kingdom or elsewhere, other than the Australian Colonies.

Now, therefore, pursuant to the authority vested in me in that behalf, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, do hereby proclaim and declare that 20,000 acres, being a further portion of the Matakohe Block, and joining on the West the portion already proclaimed in Provincial Gazette, No. 5, of 7th March, 1862, and also the blocks of land known as the Maungaturoto (6815 acres), and the Piroa (9200 acres), all in the county of Marsden, shall be reserved and set apart for certain Immigrants expected to arrive.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this third day of September, in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

By ROBERT GRAHAM, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

WHEREAS by the 2nd section of the "Auckland Waste Lands Act Amendment Act, 1862," it is enacted that sections 71, 72, 77, 78, and 79 of the "Auckland Waste Lands Act, 1858," shall be amended by substituting in each of the said sections respectively, the word "three" for the word "five," And whereas such amendments calculated to injure certain persons who have not exercised their land orders within three years, it is hereby notified that the Land Sale, advertised to take place on the 21st September, will be postponed until further notice, in order to afford an opportunity for further legislation.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, in the said Province, this fifth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.
