PROCLAMATION.

By ROBERT GRAHAM, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act of the Provincial Council of the Province of Auckland, intituled "The Town Boards Act, 1862, Repealing Act," it is amongst other things enacted that the said Act shall come into force on a day to be named by the Superintendent, by writing under his hand, which shall be published in the Government Gazette.

Now, therefore, I, the said Superintendent do hereby proclaim and declare that the said "Town Board Act, 1862, Repealing Act," shall come into force on the first day of June next.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, in the said Province, this twenty-ninth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-three.

I HEREBY notify that the undermentioned gentlemen have been elected Members to serve on the City Board:—

East Ward, No. 1.
Thomas Macready, 29th May, 1863, by 63 votes,
David Graham, do., do., by 62 votes.

East Ward, No. 2.
Thomas Macfarlane, 28th May, 1863, without contest.

East Ward, No. 3.
Richard Ridings, 28th May, 1863, without contest.

West Ward, No. 1.
John Finlay, 28th May, 1863, without contest,
Andrew Beveridge, do., do.

West Ward, No. 2.
Patrick Darby, 29th May, 1863, by 26 votes.

West Ward, No. 3.
Herbert Ashton, 29th May, 1863, by 64 votes,
George Webster, do., do. 62.

City Board.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

WHEREAS by "The City Board Act, 1863," it is amongst other things enacted that the Board to be constituted under the said Act shall hold their first Meeting on a day, and in some fit and proper place, to be fixed by the Superintendent, and published in the Provincial Government Gazette:
