PROCLAMATION.

By John Williamson, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province
of Auckland, in the Colony of
New Zealand.

WHEREAS by an Act made and passed
in the twenty-first year of the reign
of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled the
"Auckland Waste Land Act, 1858," it is
among other things enacted that it should be
lawful for the Superintendent by Proclamation to declare that a certain block of land
therein described should be set apart and reserved for certain Immigrants expected to
arrive from the United Kingdom or elsewhere,
other than the Australian Colonies.

Now, therefore, pursuant to the authority
vested in me in that behalf, I, the Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, do
hereby proclaim and declare that all that
portion of the Omawharo Block as purchased
from the Natives and exhibited in Mr.
Wilson's plan now in the Land Office,
excepting that portion proclaimed for sale
under date, 21st day of January last, and 10th
day of February inst., estimated to contain
29,000 acres, shall be reserved and set apart
for certain Immigrants expected to arrive from
the United Kingdom.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this sixth day of
February, in the year of
our Lord, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-
two.

I HEREBY notify for the information of
all persons concerned, that, in conformity
with the provisions of the Crown Lands Ordinances (No. 1, Session 10, and No. 10, Session 11), I have convened meetings of
the holders of Depasturing Licences in the
several undermentioned Hundreds, and that
the persons whose names are subjoined have
been duly elected by such holders to be
Wardens, under the said Ordinances, for the
current year.

TENDERS will be received by the undersigned at the Police Office, High-street,
until noon on Thursday, the 20th instant, for
the supply of about 500 Dog Tickets and
Straps, for the year 1862.

Session 1, No. 4, "Dog Tickets" for the year
1862, will be ready for issue at the Armed
Police Office, High-street, on and after the
first day of March, 1862.
