NOTIFICATION.
THE Superintendent will meet the Provincial Council, at the Council Chambers, Assembly Buildings, at 2 o’clock p.m., on Saturday next, 27th instant, for the purpose of opening the Fifteenth Session.

to be Keeper of the Newmarket Public Pound in the room of Mr. M. Madigan, resigned. The appointment to date from 1st January next.

Tenders for Eradicating Thistles, Drury and Waiuku Sub-Districts.
Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 16th December, 1862.
TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon of Monday, the 29th December instant, from persons willing to contract for eradicating and destroying all noxious Thistles growing upon any of the Waste Lands of the Crown, lands belonging to the Aboriginal Natives, and on any public road or reserve within the “Drury and Waiuku District” as hereinafter described, for the term of one year ending 31st December, 1863.
The Drury and Waiuku District is bounded on the North by the waters of the Manukau, and the division line known as Hewling’s line, between the Parishes of Wairoa and Papakura, on the one side, and Hunua and Opaheke on the other; on the East the Wairoa, Mangatawhiri and Mangatawai Rivers; on the South the Waikato River to its mouth; and on the West the sea.
Tenders to be endorsed “Tender for Eradicating Thistles.”
