TENDERS.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 18th November, 1862.

TENDERS will be received at this office until noon of Wednesday, the 17th day of December next, for furnishing the Provincial Government with the undermentioned supplies, in such quantities as may be required, during the six months commencing the 1st January, 1863, upon the conditions hereinafter specified.

Separate tenders to be sent in for each service.
Information may be obtained at this Office.

FIREWOOD—TEA TREE.

Of the usual lengths.
Lengths, cut and split to suit office fire-places.

Tenders to state the price per ton at which the above will be delivered at the Gaol, the Hospital, the Lunatic Asylum, Stockade, (Mount Eden,) and the several public offices.

PROVISIONS FOR PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL AND LUNATIC ASYLUM.

The articles to be delivered at the Hospital and Lunatic Asylum, at the expense of the contractor, and to be subject to the approval of the Provincial Surgeon as to quality.

Fresh mutton ... from bone
Fine bread
Potatoes, butter
Tea and sugar, No. 1 Company’s
Ointment

CONVICT RATIONS.

HARD-LABOUR RATIONS.

Ordinary } delivered at the Auckland or
Solitary } Mount Eden Gaols, as may be required.

LOCK-UP RATIONS.

The above-mentioned rations must be delivered at the Auckland and Mount Eden Gaols by ½-past 6 o’clock each morning, or the Gaoler will purchase at the expense of the Contractor.

N.B.—The Tenders for the Convict and Hard Labour Rations will be considered separately, and the contract will not necessarily be given to the same person.

POLICE.

RATIONS FOR DESTITUTE PERSONS.

Consisting of Bread 1 ½ lb., Meat (free from bone), ½ pound, at per ration.

MEDICINES FOR THE USE OF THE PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL, LUNATIC ASYLUM, GAOL, AND STOCKADE.

A list of the medicines to be tendered for may be seen at this office. Tenders must be made out in accordance therewith.

TIMBER.

Of such kinds and sizes as may be required.
Information can be obtained at the “Roads Office.”
