PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent in that behalf by "The City and Harbour Endowments Act, 1858," I hereby notify for public information, that those Pieces or Parcels of Land enumerated in the Schedule hereunder written, will be offered for Lease by Messrs. CONNELL and RIDINGS, at their Auction Mart, Queen-street, by Public Auction, at noon, on MONDAY, the 8th day of December, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-two, under the said "City and Harbour Endowments Act, 1858."

Given under my hand at Auckland, in the said Province, this third day of October, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-two.

TENDERS FOR DESTROYING THISTLES.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 7th October, 1862.

TENDERS will be received at this Office, until noon of Thursday, the 28th day of October instant, from persons willing to Contract for eradicating and destroying all noxious Thistles growing upon any Waste Lands of the Crown, lands belonging to the Aboriginal Natives, and on any public Road or Reserve within the Sub-district hereinafter described, for the period ending 31st December, 1862.

Tenders to be endorsed "Tenders for destroying noxious Thistles."

Bounded on the North by the Orewai river and the southern boundary of the Wainui block till it intersects the eastern boundary of lot No. 10, of the Parish of Waiwera, thence by the southern boundaries of lots Nos. 10, 17, 9, and 31 of said Parish thence by the boundary of the Wainui and Parakakan blocks till it intersects the Great North Road, on the west by the Great North Road till it intersects the northern boundary of lot No. 1 of the Parish of Wairateira, thence by that boundary to Brighamata creek, thence on the south by the Waitemata river and its tributaries, and on the east by the North Shore sub-district No. 1, gazetted 20th November, 1860.
