PROCLAMATION.

By JOHN WILLIAMSON, Esquire,
Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand.

In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in me vested, I, JOHN WILLIAMSON, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, have appointed the following persons to be Returning Officers for the Election of a Superintendent of the said Province, and of Members of the Provincial Council thereof, for the Electoral Districts set opposite to their names:

  • William Bertram White, Esq., Mongonui.
  • Robert Clapham Barstow, Esq., Bay of Islands.
  • Harcourt Richard Aubrey, Esq., Marsden.
  • Laughlin O’Brien, Esq., Northern Division.
  • Laughlin O’Brien, Esq., City of Auckland East.
  • Laughlin O’Brien, Esq., City of Auckland West.
  • Laughlin O’Brien, Esq., Parnell.
  • Laughlin O’Brien, Esq., Newton.
  • John Jermyn Symonds, Esq., Pensioner Settlements.
  • John Jermyn Symonds, Esq., Franklin.
  • John Jermyn Symonds, Esq., Town of Onehunga.
  • John Jermyn Symonds, Esq., Raglan.

Given under my hand, at Auckland, this eleventh day of September,
one thousand eight hundred and sixty-one.

PROCLAMATION.

In pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in me vested, I, JOHN WILLIAMSON, Superintendent of the Province of Auckland, do hereby appoint the under-mentioned places to be Polling Places for the respective Districts hereinafter specified for the Election of a Superintendent, and of Members of the Provincial Council of the Province of Auckland, namely:

  • At Oruaiti Valley, Mr. Ball’s residence
  • At Oruru, Mr. Butler’s residence
  • At Wangaroa, Mr. Bell’s residence
  • At Kaitaia, Mr. Adamson’s residence
  • At Ahipara, Mr. Shannon’s residence

BAY OF ISLANDS

  • At Russell, the Court House
  • At Waimate, Young Men’s Association Room
  • At Taraire, Mr. Kidd’s residence
  • At Hokianga, Old Custom House, Herd’s Point
  • At Wangaroa, Mr. Spickman’s residence
