PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Auckland, 25th October, 1860.

HEREBY notify for general information that the appointment of Mr. James Myers, of Southampton, England, to be an Emigration Agent for the Province of Auckland, notified in the Provincial Government Gazette of date May 13th, 1858, will be cancelled on the 1st day of January, 1861.

HEREBY notify for general information, that a Writ, issued by me on the tenth day of September last, for the election of a Member of the Provincial Council for the district of the Bay of Islands, has been returned with an endorsement thereon as follows:

I, Robert Clapham Barstow, the Returning Officer for the Electoral District of the Bay of Islands, do hereby declare that in pursuance of the Writ to me directed, bearing date the tenth day of September, 1860, the undermentioned Candidate is duly elected a member of the Provincial Council for the said District.
