PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

EDUCATION ACT.—SESS. VI., No. 2.

Superintendent’s Office,
Auckland, 8th June, 1860.

I HEREBY notify for general information that, with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, I have appointed the undermentioned gentlemen to be Commissioners of the Board of Education :—

Thomas S. Forsaith,
William Goodfellow,
Charles Knight,
John F. Lloyd,
Daniel M. O’Hara,
William Phillipps,
Charles Sanderson,
Captain J. Stone.

TENDERS will be received at this Office until noon of Friday, the 22nd instant, from persons desirous of furnishing the undermentioned articles for the Auckland Gaol and Mount Eden Stockade.

Samples of each article to accompany the tenders.

Particular information may be obtained from the Gaoler.

IMPounded at the Public Pound, Newmarket, by Mr G. Austin, for trespassing in his paddock of oats at Remuera,—
Two Sheep, with one stroke down the back.
No damages claimed. Owner unknown.

Also,

Impounded by William Edgecombe, for trespass and damages, and being in an enclosed paddock,—
One Black Sow Pig.
Damages, 5s. Owner unknown.

If not claimed within eleven days after the date of this notice, application will be made to a Justice of the Peace for an order for the sale of the above mentioned Sheep and Pigs agreeably to the provisions of the “Impounding Act, 1856.”
