IN accordance with the 30th Clause of the Crown Lands’ Ordinance, I publish the following:—
Apportionment made by the Wardens of the Hundred of Howick.

LIST of Names of License-holders, Number of Acres in Occupation, and Apportionment of Stock to be Depastured on the Waste Lands of the said Hundred, for the year 1859.

GUNPOWDER.

Military Store Office,
Auckland, 1st April, 1859.

NOTICE is hereby given that from the date hereof the following scale of charges for the Store Rent of Merchants’ Gunpowder deposited in the Magazines of the War Department in New Zealand, will be adopted in lieu of that hitherto used, viz.:—

Packages or barrels measuring under 2½ feet cube ... 1s.
Packages or barrels exceeding 2½ feet cube, and not exceeding 5 feet cube ... 2s.
Packages or barrels exceeding 5 feet cube, per foot cube ... 3s.

NOTICE.

IMPOUNDED in the Public Pound, Auckland, by John Armstrong, for trespassing in an enclosed garden, Mechanic’s Bay, the property of Major Stack—

  • 2 black and white she goats,
  • 1 black he goat.

Damages claimed 2s. 6d. each.

Also, Impounded in the above-mentioned Pound, by Mr. Patrick Lorigan, for trespassing in his enclosed garden, Albert-street—

  • 2 brown and white she goats,
  • 1 black and white she goat.

Damages claimed 5s. each.

If not claimed within eleven days from the date of this notice, application will be made to a Justice of the Peace for an order for the sale of the above mentioned goats, agreeably to the provisions of the “Impounding Act, 1856.”
