Epsom, February 10th, 1859.
NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned persons have entered into Contracts for eradicating and destroying all noxious Thistles growing upon any Waste Lands of the Crown, Lands belonging to the Aboriginal Natives, and upon any Public Road or Reserve within the respective sub’districts described.
BENJAMIN MENARY:
No. 1, North Shore, bounded on the N.E. by the Sea, on the N.W. by the Wairau Stream, by the middle line of a road running between lots 104 and 105 of the Parish of Takapuna in a South-westerly direction to the Lucas Creek road, on the West by the middle of the Lucas Creek road, by the middle of Callan’s Bay road to the Harbour, on the South by the Harbour of Waitemata.
HENRY BRIERLY:
No. 2. Mount Albert, bounded on the N. by the Waitemata Harbour, on the E. by the middle of the Epsom Road from Mechanics’ Bay, Southward to Onehunga to the beach at Commercial Hotel, (not to include the Government Domain), on the South by the Manukau Harbour, on the W. by the Wahu Portage and Wahu Creek.
HENRY BRIERLY:
No. 3. Mount Smart, bounded on the N. by the middle of the Tamaki road at Newmarket to St. John’s College, by the middle of the Panmure road to Point England road, by the middle of Point England road to the Tamaki, on the E. by the Tamaki and the Otahuhu Portage; on the S. by the Manukau Harbour to the beach at the Commercial Inn, Onehunga, on the W. by the middle of the Auckland road to Newmarket.
HENRY BRIERLY:
No. 4, Orakei, bounded on the North by the sea, Waitemata harbour, on the East, by the Tamaki to Point England road, on the South by the middle of the Point England, St. John’s College, and Auckland roads to Newmarket, by the middle of Parnell road to Mechanics’ Bay.
JAMES FOLEY:
No. 5, Otahuhu and Mangarie, bounded on the North by the Hundred of Howick, down Otara Creek to the Tamaki, crossing the Tamaki to Otahuhu by the Otahuhu Portage and by the Manukau harbour, on the West and South by the Manukau to the South East boundary of Clendon’s grant, on the South East and East by the boundary of Clendon’s grant, and by the boundary of the Hundred of Otahuhu.

Information of the existence of Noxious Thistles on any of the lands above mentioned will be received by the respective contractors.

NOTICE.
A SPECIAL Meeting of the Justices of the Peace for the District of Howick will be held at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Howick, on Tuesday, the first day of March next, at 12 o’clock, noon, for the purpose of receiving applications for the Transfer of Publicans’ Licences.

Owner unknown. No damages claimed.
If not claimed within 11 days after the date of this notice, application will be made to a Justice of the Peace, for an order for the sale of the above mentioned Cow, agreeably to the provisions of the “Impounding Act, 1856.”
