The following Tenders have been received, and are published for general information.

The performance of certain Works on that portion of the Great South Road extending between Mr. Thos. Runciman’s and the Mangatawhiri River.

(Tenders received the 14th April, 1858.)

Accepted Tenders.

James Runciman, 23s. per lineal foot for Bridges.

Wm. Cossey and John Sutton, £3 per chain for Corduroy Road.

Tender withdrawn.

Daniel Simpson, 17s. per chain for clearing road, 25s. per lineal foot for Bridges, 25s. each for pipes, £12 10s. per chain for Corduroy Road, 10d. per cubic yard for cuttings.

Non-accepted Tenders.

William. J. Young, 7s. per chain for felling, 80s. clearing and stumping, 25s. per lineal foot for Bridges, £2 10s. each for pipes, £30 per chain for Corduroy Road, 1s. 5d. per cubic yard for cuttings.

Jas. Runciman, 6s. per chain for felling, and 40s. clearing and stumping, £4 each for pipes, £20 per chain for Corduroy Road, 1s. 7d. per cubic yard for cuttings.

Wm. Selby, 12s. 6d. per chain for felling, 8d. per cubic yard for cuttings.

Wm. Cossey and John Sutton, 10s. per chain for felling, 1s. 6d. per cubic yard for cuttings.

The erection of a Bridge over the Weiti River, at the landing place, and two other Bridges on the line of road thence to the Paddock in the Wainui Block.

Jas. Lord, £1 9s. 11d. per lineal foot, for the two Bridges.

Non-Accepted Tenders.

Wm. Harris, 45s. per lineal foot, for Weiti Bridge.

Ditto, 30s. per lineal foot, for the other Bridges.

Maurice Kelly, £2 10s. per lineal foot, for Weiti Bridge.

Ditto, £1 13s. per lineal foot for the other Bridges.

Onehunga and Mangarei Ferry, from 1st May to 31st December, proximo.

Non-accepted Tenders.

NOTICE.

It was resolved at a meeting held at the Prince Albert Inn, on Tuesday, April 13th, that “Michael Meehan is to be the Ranger for the Hundred of Onehunga for the present year.”
