SIR,—I have the honour to acknowledge the receipt of your Letters of the 22nd, 23rd and 25th ultimo, Nos. 34, 35, and 36, forwarding copies of the Acts cited in the margin, passed by the Provincial Council of the Province of Auckland, and to inform your Honor that the same have been laid before the Governor and that His Excellency has been pleased to leave them to their operation.

Thistle Act, 1858.
Wharf Regulation Act, 1858.
Appropriation Act, 1858.
City and Harbour Endowments Act, 1858.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent in that behalf by the “Auckland Waste Land Act, 1858,” I HEREBY NOTIFY for public information, that all those pieces or parcels of Land enumerated in the Schedule hereunder written will be open for sale on and after the twenty-first day of June next, as General Country Lands, under the said “Auckland Waste Land Act, 1858.”

STEAM FERRY TO NORTH SHORE.

TENDERS will be received at this office until noon of Wednesday, 26th May, 1858, from persons willing to contract for the maintenance of a STEAM FERRY between Stokes’ Point on the North Shore, and the City of Auckland, for a period of one year, on the conditions following:--
