of land known as the "Runrangi" Block, in the District of Wangarei containing 19,000 acres, which is not set apart as Town, Suburban; or Rural Lands, or proclaimed as Credit Land, will be open for sale as Country Lands at 10s. an acre, subject to the provisions in that behalf contained in the first-mentioned Regulations, on and after Monday, the twenty-first day of December next.
Given under my hand at Auckland, in the said Province, the eighteenth day of November, One thousand eight hundred and fifty-seven.

PROCLAMATION.
By His Excellency Colonel Thomas Gore Browne, Companion of the Most Honourable Order of the Bath, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, &c., &c.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Waste Lands Act, 1856," it is enacted that no land acquired from the aboriginal inhabitants, after the passing thereof, shall be open for sale or disposal until the Governor shall have notified, by Proclamation in the New Zealand Government Gazette, that the Native Title has been extinguished over such land.
Now, therefore, I, the Governor, do hereby proclaim and notify that the Native Title has been extinguished over the Block of Land, the boundaries whereof are mentioned or described in the Schedule hereunto annexed.
Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Colony of New Zealand, at Auckland, in the Colony aforesaid, this twenty-third day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty-seven.

PROVINCE OF AUCKLAND.
Manukau District.—Manukau Block.
Containing about 22,000 Acres.
The boundary commences at Te Ruawahia-roa; thence running in a South Westerly direction (bearing by compass 202°) to Wairua-Whakakai; thence to Waipohue, on to the West Coast (compass bearing 222° 45'); thence along the Coast Southerly to Te Kawakawa, Turakiraki, Muruwhenua, Opongo, Hereputiputi, Waimataku, Arapo; thence Eastward (compass bearing 60° 50') to Te Ra-o-puninga, the Waiwata Swamp, the Ripekanga, thence in a straight line (compass bearing 52° 10') to its junction again with the Waiwata Swamp at Pukekowhai; thence down the Swamp to Matakawau Creek, and down the Creek to where it empties itself into Manukau Harbour at Otamaniwha; thence along the shore of Manukau Harbour to Kopiri, Kaitara, Tewharau, Kauritutahi, Tatangarau, Te Mori-a-whero, Te Kauri-kaihau, Wairere, Te Make, Te Aute, Te Ihu-kuri, Te Rua-o-whairoa; there the boundaries join.
Manukau District.—Kakaramea Block.
(Area 1035 Acres.)
Bounded on the North by Beard’s Fence, 3470 links; on the East by Native land 7618, on the South by the Waitangi Block, 8760 links; on the West by the Wairoa Block 1805, 3255, and 1040 links, and by a line, one chain to the East of the present road from Auckland to Mangatawhiri, to where Mr. Ormsby’s boundary line crosses the road at Rawhitiroa; on the West by the Ramarama Block, 17,400 and 5070 links to Pai-o-te-arai, from thence along the Auckland and Mangatawhiri Road to Beard’s Fence at the Kumikumi.
