NOTICE

THE Superintendent will meet the Provincial Council at the Odd Fellows’ Hall, Queen-street, on Wednesday next, November 25th, at two o’clock, p.m., for the purpose of opening the Session.

HEREBY notify for general information that, pursuant to the authority vested in the Superintendent by the Provincial Government Act, Session 1, No. 7, I have appointed the undermentioned gentlemen to be Members of the Provincial Executive Council:—

  • FREDERICK WARD MERRIMAN, Esq., M.P.C.
  • HENRY MATSON, Esq., M.P.C.
  • JOSEPH BRENNAN, Esq., M.P.C.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

Superintendent of the Province of Auckland.

UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in the Superintendent in that behalf by the Regulations for the sale, letting, disposal, and occupation of the Waste Lands of the Crown within the Province of Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand, issued by his Excellency the Governor of the said Colony with the advice of the Executive Council thereof, on the fourteenth day of the month of May, 1856, I do hereby appoint, and notify the same for general information, that the following allotments of the said Waste Lands shall be offered for sale by Public Auction, by the Waste Land Commissioner for the said Province, at the upset prices placed opposite thereto respectively, at the Mechanics’ Institute, on Monday, the twenty-first day of December next, commencing at the hour of eleven o’clock in the forenoon, subject to the several conditions and terms of sale in that behalf contained in the Regulations aforesaid—
