PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

WHEREAS His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand did, by Proclamation bearing date at Auckland in the said colony the fourteenth day of the month of May in the present year, issue, with the advice of the Executive Council thereof, certain Regulations for the sale, letting, disposal, and occupation of the Waste Lands of the Crown in the Province of Auckland in the said colony; and whereas it is (amongst other things) provided by the said Regulations that the Superintendent of the said province shall, from time to time by notification in the "Government Gazette" for such Province, nominate and appoint a person for holding and conducting the sales of the said lands, which person shall be styled "The Waste Lands Commissioner for the Province of Auckland" and shall transact all the business of the Waste Lands office; now, therefore, I, John Logan Campbell, Esquire, Superintendent of the said province, do, by these presents, under and in pursuance of the powers vested in me in that behalf by the said Regulations, constitute and appoint, and notify that I do constitute and appoint, you, the said Charles John Taylor, to be, during my pleasure, the Waste Lands Commissioner for the said Province; and do require you to do and execute all things, in due manner, that shall belong to the trust hereby reposed in you, according to the provisions in that behalf contained in the Regulations aforesaid. Witness my hand and seal, at Auckland aforesaid, the sixteenth day of June one thousand eight hundred and fifty-six.

WHEREAS His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand did, under the provisions in that behalf contained in "The Waste Lands Act, 1854," of the General Assembly of the said Colony, with the advice of the Executive Council thereof, by a Proclamation bearing date at Auckland, the fourteenth day of May, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-six, issue, on the recommendation of the Local Legislature of the Province of Auckland, certain Regulations for the Sale, Letting, Disposal, and Occupation of the Waste Lands of the Crown in the said Province, I, John Logan Campbell, Esquire, Superintendent of the said Province, do hereby notify, for general information, that the said Regulations are now in force.
Given under my hand, at Auckland aforesaid, the sixteenth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-six.
