NOTICE FOR TENDERS, NORTH SHORE.
Superintendent's Office, Auckland,
19th April, 1855.
TENDERS will be received at this office until noon of Tuesday, the 1st May next, for the following works:β
1st. For the formation of a cart road passing by Heath's house to the beach.
2nd. For making culverts and two small Bridges on the road leading from the corner of McDonald's section, No. 97, till it reaches the Roman Catholic College Road.
3rd. For blasting and removing the rocks, and rendering a cart track practicable of 10 feet wide, to commence at the cliff abreast of the Roman Catholic College, over the tideway, and extend along the Roman Catholic Allotment till it reaches the Landing-place.
4th. For making a small Culvert across the road which passes by the College allotment.
Plans and specifications for the above works can be seen at this office.

A cartway practicable of 16Β½ feet width, commencing close to Mr. Simpkin's house, and finishing at Mount Wellington. Part of this road has been already formed; only requires gravelling.
Tenders will be received, at the option of the parties tendering; for the whole or for sections of this road.
Further particulars will be given by the Provincial Road Surveyor, at this office.

THE following Resolutions, passed by the Bench of Magistrates at the Annual Licensing Meeting, at Auckland, on Tuesday, the 17th instant, with reference to Transfer of Licences, and the sale of spirituous liquors to the Natives, are published for general information.

RESOLUTION No. 3.
That when the Bench attaches any conditions to the issue of a Licence, the Transferee of such Licence will be held by the Bench liable for their fulfilment.
RESOLUTION No. 4.
That the Bench of Magistrates having had under its serious consideration the fact of breaches being committed of the 'Sale of Spirits Ordinance' by the supply of spirituous liquors to the natives of New Zealand, resolves not to renew a licence to
